The problem is that the POW meter drains way too quickly and doesn’t refill fast enough. The soundtrack is credited to Toshikazu Tanaka, most likely the same person who worked on many SNK games and later developed a totally rocking, distinctive style in games like King of Fighters Maximum Impact and, but unfortunately none of that talent shows through here. When running throughout most of the pathways – which you’ll need to do a lot, since you’ll need to backtrack quite a bit, and some of the dungeons are expansive – you’ll randomly get attacked by enemies. There’s not even any music when exploring, making for a very quiet journey. All of the music is CD audio, and there are only sixteen music tracks, which means you get to hear the same cheery yet banal town theme over and over. It’s all flavorless, generic fantasy synth, and would probably go in one ear and pass immediately out from the other, if only the music weren’t repeated so often. You’re given a map, but it’s not as useful as you’d expect it to be.On a similar note, Atlus didn’t pay much mind to the soundtrack either. This isn’t really a big deal until you start getting to the caves and castles, which are mazes consisting of the same room pasted over and over dozens of times. I'm still hoping someone will start a passion project for the superior Grandia version.

Actually xp3 file is a Japanese scripting engine often used to create visual novels stores resource files that may contain text, images, audio, and other data used for packaging game resources that are loaded during gameplay and not an english patch!
